In this time of social distancing, take time to focus on you, be kind to yourself while being honest. This is a time when you can choose to elevate and support yourself as you create change, evolve, and move in the direction you really yearn. I have shared empowering and disempowering questions below to allow you to see how important it is to ask yourself empowering questions, to be kind, respectful to yourself, which will support you in making positive changes in your life. This in turn will allow you to come out of the situation we all find ourselves in at the moment stronger, more self-aware and ready for the opportunities that will surely await you.

Disempowering Questions

  • Why is this so difficult?
  • Why bother getting fit when I’m stuck in for the coming weeks?
  • When is this going to start getting easier?
  • Why does it take so long to see the results?
  • Why did I just screw up my healthy diet by eating junk food tonight?
  • Why don’t I have the stamina for this?
  • Where is my energy gone?
  • Where am I supposed to find the energy for this?
  • When am I going to be happy?
  • When will this torment be over?
  • Why can’t I get motivated?

Empowering Questions

  • What can I do today to improve my health/education/relationships/job?
  • At what time of the day have I got the most energy to exercise/write/create?
  • What excites me about learning a new language/getting fitter/learning to cook?
  • What promise or commitment can I make to myself during this time of isolation?
  • What are the benefits to this daily practice?
  • How much love will I be showing myself when I follow through on this?
  • How much time should I make for this today?
  • How much time do I want to give to this that’s going to give me the results that I want?
  • How different will I feel after I have done this daily?
  • What music motivates me to move my body?
